A strange glowing spiral in the night sky over northern Germany sparked confusion and speculation among observers, with some even questioning whether it was a sign of extraterrestrial activity or an unexpected attack. However, the explanation turned out to be far less dramatic.
The phenomenon was caused by fuel remnants from one of Elon Musk’s SpaceX rockets. As the particles drifted at an altitude of 400 to 600 kilometers, they refracted sunlight, creating the eerie but spectacular visual effect.
This is not the first time such celestial light displays have puzzled the public. From bright, colorful streaks to glowing formations, the Earth’s atmosphere frequently turns into a canvas for stunning optical phenomena. These events serve as a reminder that the sky, though seemingly empty, is filled with particles and materials that can transform it into a breathtaking spectacle.
