British prosecutors have confirmed 21 criminal charges against Andrew and Tristan Tate, well-known internet personalities. The brothers face serious accusations, including rape, human trafficking, and physical assault involving three women. Prosecutors announced the charges on Wednesday, following a 2024 extradition order from Romania. Both Andrew and Tristan Tate deny all allegations.
Andrew Tate, 38, is charged with ten offenses, including organizing prostitution for profit and abusing multiple victims. His brother, 36-year-old Tristan Tate, faces eleven charges linked to a single alleged victim. The incidents reportedly took place between 2012 and 2015.
Police in Bedfordshire, England, have issued international arrest warrants. Meanwhile, Romanian authorities are also investigating the brothers. Their probe includes accusations of trafficking minors, sexual exploitation, and money laundering. Officials in Romania have identified at least 34 victims, including a 15-year-old.
The Tate brothers hold dual British and U.S. citizenship but currently live in Romania, where they face criminal scrutiny. Andrew Tate gained global attention through online content promoting extreme anti-women views. He is a prominent figure in the so-called “manosphere,” a network known for toxic masculinity and radicalizing young men. Despite bans on platforms like Instagram, Andrew has nearly 11 million followers on X.
Both brothers continue to deny all charges. Investigations by authorities in the UK and Romania remain active.
