Gamers will wait longer for Grand Theft Auto VI after Rockstar Games announced another release delay. The studio confirmed the new launch date as 19 November 2026. This marks the second postponement, following an earlier push from May 2026. Rockstar originally planned to release the game in autumn this year. The company asked fans for patience, saying it needs extra time to meet the high standards players “expect and deserve.”
Chaos and Freedom in Vice City
The game lets players drive, fight, and steal across open streets without restriction. They can collect luxury cars, bikes, and boats while escaping police chases and engaging in high-speed races. Explosive crashes, violent encounters, and raw language fill every corner of its chaotic world. Grand Theft Auto VI takes place in the state of Leonida, featuring the neon-lit streets of the fictional Vice City and new regions beyond. Rockstar promises the largest and most immersive chapter of the series to date.
Global Success of a Gaming Phenomenon
Grand Theft Auto remains one of the best-selling and most influential franchises in entertainment. Since its debut 12 years ago, the series has captivated millions with every new release. Titles like Vice City, San Andreas, and Grand Theft Auto IV solidified its global dominance. The last installment, Grand Theft Auto V, sold over 215 million copies, ranking as the second most popular video game ever, just behind Minecraft.
